The Interactive Gaming Council (IGC) is an international, non-profit trade organization based in Canada. IGC provides unified representation and support to the online gaming industry as it faces the challenges and opportunities presented in the industry's growth. IGC Code of Practice

In order for an online casino to be considered a member of the IGC, they must abide by IGC's Code of Practice. The code applies to any online advertising on the casino's website and with affiliates; it supplements any national regulatory rules that are currently in place. The code also goes into detail with respect to the standards expected of the gaming operator's website including the display of IGC membership and a link and contact information for both customer service and the operator. Because membership to the Interactive Gaming Council is voluntary, compliance to the IGC Code of Practice demonstrates that there are members of the online gaming industry that are upholding both integrity and professionalism. Violating the Code will ultimately lead to suspension of membership and finally expulsion.

The Interactive Gaming Council is also incredibly active in promoting the online gaming industry in the legal arena as well. They provide expert industry insight and commentary to legislators around the world and are especially involved in lobbying within the United States. Social responsibility is also of high concern to the IGC; they strive to help gamblers be responsible in their gaming. In light of this, the IGC offers a program called "Helping Hand" that helps those affected with a gambling addiction.
